Who's Eating Our Pasta? Episode 1
Something that companies often get asked is, "Who is your target customer?". At Cucina Calabrese, we've deliberated a lot about who that should be. Luckily, we've had a chance to meet hundreds of customers & numerous stores. The problem is that we often find different people like our different pastas for different reasons at different times. That makes it hard to "target", but makes us happy to reach a broad & diverse audience. We thought it might be fun to profile some of the varied customers & stores that like our pasta.
Christine is a busy, working mom with kids at different ages. She is well traveled & has a pretty sophisticated palate. We figured we'd pick her brain about our her cooking & how Cucina Calabrese Pasta fits into that.
-what do you typically cook on a busy weeknight vs. weekends?: weeknights it’s usually something quick with sports and after work activities. Weekends I tend to make more home made meals that I can stretch to due during the week as well. Tons of soups, sauces etc.
-what type of cuisine do you like?: carbs :) Italian, Mexican, comfort food
-How do you typically prepare the pasta?: One kids loves plain buttered noodles, the other loves sauces, meats, etc. so we love to experiment. My neighbor tried the siracha and sautéed some peppers and onions with it and said it was amazing. I was kind
a on the fence with the Hemp one as far as what the kids would think. I knew it would be hearty - but I didn’t expect such a great texture. It held my heavy creamy rose’ sauce in every nook and cranny! It has a wonderful texture and flavor. Definitely paired well with the sauce and chicken we made it with.
-What did you like best about the pasta?: taste, packaging, variety offered
-What do you think of the texture or flavor compared to other pastas? Texture was perfect no matter if it was plain with butter or added to a sauce (we did the hemp pasta with some chicken Alfredo sauce) and the flavor and texture was amazing!!
-Why or when would you choose this over you basic, cheap pasta?: my kids love the specialty (they call it “fancy”) pastas that you might find in the gourmet stores. We eat a lot of pasta and love the fact that we can spice it up with different flavors and shapes.
